It’s that time again! :D I’m giving away two handmade Homestuck needlefelted dolls to two lucky tumblrers (1 doll per person)! To enter, all you need to do is:
*Reblog up to three (3) times and like once! That’s four chances to win! Any more than this and you will be disqualified!
*You don’t have to follow me, but it’d be really really great if you did! <3
*The winner will get to pick any Homestuck character that will fit on my available bases: MSPA Classic (ex. Tavros, Dirk) or MSPA Mobile (ex. Jake, Feferi). I’m also willing to experiment with a Sprite base if the winner wants a Dave/Jadesprite.
*I’ll ship anywhere in the world!!! >:D So yeah, international entrants are more than welcome!

Hey Kylee! I was wondering, I more often than not root for canon relationships for characters in whatever fandom I like and I see other fans go banana-sandwich for relationships that aren't ever designed to happen. I know it's fun whatever relationships anyone supports in whatever fandom they're apart of. What I wanted to ask was how often do you see or personally support canon shipping?
Honestly it’s not a big deal to me. I respect the canon but I don’t really care if other people stray from it for fun, and hell, I’ll entertain the idea of non-canon pairings too. I just don’t make a huge fuss over it. When I ship it’s just for fun, not made into my religion. Weirds me out how seriously people take it.

I know its trendier to ask "what role would you be?", but I'm more interested in what you would put in your strife specibus. (I chose Shovelkind) It has to be something you own in your house! Besides, I'm pretty sure you're the Maid of Craft or something. I feel like that was a thing somewhere.

Hi again! Trying not to be all nervous to ask stuff XD; You've probably gotten this before, but how do you handle all the popularity? I mean you gotta get some creepers, some haters, and just downright unpleasant people. Would you ever trade it for a quieter existence on the internet, or is this the life for ya?
I get asked this every so often, and the truth is that if you know how to handle it, internet popularity is great! It’s good for the sake of exposure, getting your ideas out there, for making a profit off your art, and meeting all kinds of really cool people.
I wouldn’t trade this for the world, it’s exactly what I set out to achieve since the very first day I joined deviantArt over 7 years ago. It was tough dealing with the haters when I was younger, but you eventually learn how little they matter. You’ll never please everybody, and that’s something you just come to terms with eventually.
Besides, no matter how much somebody might try to rip on you for what you draw, the truth of the matter is that you should do what makes YOU happy. YOUR reasons and wants are the most important when it comes to your own goals and aspirations. That’s what art is about, self-expression! It only makes sense. That’s how you can truly find your peace as an artist.
